It all goes to plan, but of course there is a twist in the story when a member of the group betrays his friends and runs of with the lot. The leader of the group is shot by the crook, and the rest of the gang set out to seek revenge and to steal back the fortune. The Full Review: This remake of the 1969 Italian Job was brought out just as the new mini coopers were reissued, so not only was the film a re-release of a popular film, but it also advertised the new minis. The plot of this film was obviously well thought out and includes lots of unexpected twists that are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat. The script has also been very well thought out; there are a lot of links towards the end of the film to things that have been said near the beginning -this helps things to fall into place. There are also a lot of little jokes throughout the film which makes it that much more enjoyable. The storyline is quite clever in the way that you never quite know what is going to happen next, and I think this is one of the Italian jobs best qualities. The Italian Job 2003 was released with some other major films, so maybe it would have done better if it was released a little later as more of the focus would have been on this film. However the film was still a success; it has a little bit of something for everyone -an adventure, action, crime and thriller, all in one! The film was quite popular at the cinema and I think that most people would have been attracted to going to see it due to the success of the first. This film was very expensive to make; 32 minis were used, 3 of which were specially built electric cars, Hollywood Boulevard and Highland were closed for 7 days and the Metro tunnel set was so big it wouldnt fit in any sound stage -it had to be built in the hangar used for the space shuttle. This was all to help with the films special effects. I think that the special effects were definitely worth it, as it makes he film that much more realistic. I think that the casting was well chosen in this film. Edward Norton (who plays Steve) plays the bad guy well and looks the part, and Mark Wahlberg (who plays Charlie) makes a great gang leader and main character. All of the characters interact well, and you can see throughout the film how Stella and Charlies friendship and trust grows and they even end up getting married. Each of the main characters in the film have their own, different personality and assets to their gang, e. g. Lyle is the computer expert, Stella is the safe lock -picker, and this makes them all together a great team. In my opinion, the most successful element of the film is the way that the film grasps your attention, and makes you feel sympathy, scared and happy for the characters during the film. However, I think that there is still something in the first film that the second lacksmaybe the second is more predictable for the people who have already seen the first and know the rough plot. Any Good? All in all, this film is definitely worth seeing and has a good storyline that you can really follow, without getting bored. I found that this film made me laugh, scared and kept me on the edge of my seat. Thats what to me makes an enjoyable film. I would rate this film 7/10 as although I enjoyed it and I would watch it twice, I still think that it does not beat the first.

Analysis of Major Characters Scout - Scout is a very unusual little girl, both in her own qualities and in her social position. She is unusually intelligent (she learns to read before beginning school), unusually confident (she fights boys without fear), unusually thoughtful (she worries about the essential goodness and evil of mankind), and unusually good (she always acts with the best intentions). In terms of her social identity, she is unusual for being a tomboy in the prim and proper Southern world of Maycomb. One quickly realizes when reading To Kill a Mockingbird that Scout is who she is because of the way Atticus has raised her. He has nurtured her mind, conscience, and individuality without bogging her down in fussy social hypocrisies and notions of propriety. While most girls in Scout's position would be wearing dresses and learning manners, Scout, thanks to Atticus's hands-off parenting style, wears overalls and learns to climb trees with Jem and Dill. She does not always grasp social niceties (she tells her teacher that one of her fellow students is too poor to pay her back for lunch), and human behavior often baffles her (as when one of her teachers criticizes Hitler's prejudice against Jews while indulging in her own prejudice against blacks), but Atticus's protection of Scout from hypocrisy and social pressure has rendered her open, forthright, and well meaning. At the beginning of the novel, Scout is an innocent, good-hearted five-year-old child who has no experience with the evils of the world. As the novel progresses, Scout has her first contact with evil in the form of racial prejudice, and the basic development of her character is governed by the question of whether she will emerge from that contact with her conscience and optimism intact or whether she will be bruised, hurt, or destroyed like Boo Radley and Tom Robinson. There is a piece of common knowledge about the Middle Ages we have heard repeated over and over again: that medieval people thought the earth was flat. In addition, theres a second claim weve heard a few times: that Columbus faced opposition to his attempt to find a western route to Asia because people thought the earth was flat and hed fall off. Widespread facts with one very, very big problem: Columbus, and many if not most medieval people, knew the earth was round. As did many ancient Europeans, and those since. The Truth By the Middle Ages, there was a widespread belief among the educated that the Earth was a globe. Columbus did face opposition on his voyage, but not from people who thought he’d drop off the edge of the world. Instead, people believed he’d predicted too small a globe and would run out of supplies before he made it around to Asia. It was not edges of the world people feared, but the world being too big and round for them to cross with the technology available. The transition from the ancient world to the medieval one is often blamed for a loss of knowledge, a â€Å"move backward†, but the belief that the world was a globe is evident in writers from across the period. The few examples of those who doubted it have been stressed instead of the thousands of examples of those who didn’t. Why the flat Earth myth? The idea that medieval people thought the earth was flat appears to have spread in the late nineteenth century as a stick with which to beat the medieval Christian church, which is often blamed for restricting intellectual growth in the period. The myth also taps into people’s ideas of â€Å"progress† and of the medieval era as a period of savagery without much thought. Professor Jeffrey Russell argues that the Columbus myth originated in a history of Columbus from 1828 by Washington Irving, which claimed that theologians and experts of the period opposed funding the voyages because the earth was flat. This is now known to be false, but anti-Christian thinkers seized upon it. Indeed, in a presentation summarizing his book ‘Inventing the Flat Earth: Columbus and Modern Historians,’  Russell states: No one before the 1830s believed that medieval people thought that the Earth was flat.
